Using the planner
I closed the tab and my plan is gone.
Unless “Remember my plan on this device” was ticked or you saved a plan file, the plan lived only in that tab. Sorry, there is no copy anywhere: we never had one. Next time, tick the box on the first step or save a file at the end of each sitting.
Where is my plan file?
Wherever your browser puts downloads, named moving-day-planner-plan.json. Load it on the first step of the planner (“Load a saved plan file”).
A task is on the wrong day for my country or my contract.
The days are a starting point. Skip the task and add your own with the right number of days, or simply do it when your contract says. For companies you add, the day depends on the kind and what you need from it; change the kind to change the day.
The move is sooner than eight weeks and half the list says “was due”.
That is the “Catch up now” group: everything whose day has passed, in order. Nothing is skipped for you. Work down the list; tick what is done.
Can I change the moving date?
Yes, on the first step. Every task moves with it and the ticks stay.
The calendar file and the PDF
How do I use the calendar file?
Download it on the last step (Full Planner), then open it. On a Mac or iPhone it opens in Calendar; on Android and the web, Google Calendar has “Import” under settings; Outlook has “Open calendar” or “Import”. Each task becomes an all-day event with a reminder on the morning. If you export again after changing the date, the new events replace the old ones in most calendar apps because they carry the same identifiers.
The PDF will not build.
Try the free preview first; if that fails too, the browser is probably very old or in a restricted mode. Try a current Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox, or another device with your plan file. Your plan is unchanged either way.
Where did the PDF go?
To your browser’s downloads, named Moving-Day-Planner-… with the paper size in the name. On a phone, look in the Files app (iPhone) or the Downloads folder (Android).
Some characters show as question marks.
The plan uses one font chosen for legibility; a few rare characters or emoji are outside it and are replaced by “?” rather than silently dropped. Rewrite those words in plain letters.
Which paper size?
A4 in most of the world; US Letter in the United States and Canada.
Buying and the unlock
I paid but the export still says preview.
The unlock is per device. Open the link from your confirmation email on the device you are using; it unlocks there. No email? Get the link again at Lost your link? using the email you paid with.
I want to use it on my partner’s phone too.
Open the same unlock link there. It works on more than one device for two years.
I bought the binder; where is the ZIP?
In your confirmation email and on the page after payment. The link works for 30 days; renew it any time at Lost your link?.
I want a refund.
See refunds: one email with your order reference.
